Welcome to Volume II (2), Special Issue of the Journal of English Language Education -Praxis (ELE-Praxis). This issue emerged from the papers presented at the International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research and Collaboration: A Shared Future in Higher Education, jointly organized by the Department of Language Education, Kathmandu University and the Department of English, Assam Don Bosco University at the School of Education, Kathmandu University on 9-10 April 2025.  Participants from Nepal and India presented 24 papers at the conference. We include four papers from the conference presentation after rigorous review process. In the editorial paper, Poudel raises the issue of social injustice among children because of the disparity in home and school languages. Marbaniang explores the colonial aspect in our assessment process. Kafle discusses the issue of developing curriculum through the process of currere. Goswami explores the Tantric world of Assam through oral narratives. Khanal and Poudel explore the identity construction of women teachers’ identity construction through an autoethnographic perspective. Finally, Gupta and Poudel explore the experiences of learning English before, during and after COVID -19 Pandemic through the narratives of undergraduate students of the Bara district a semi-urban learning context.
